I get asked this question (in a mostly good way) at nearly every event.  Most often it's after having a brief, unplanned, and meaningful conversation with a guest or a client.  It might be that my passion for events is really just a cover for my passion for talking to people, and solving problems.

In everyday life, many of us are tied to devices or laptops all day and in desperate need of some high-quality conversation.  I know, I'm the guy you hope doesn't sit next to you on the flight from LA to NYC...

But, here's the thing - I'm really good at it - otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Surely there's nothing worse than a trying to have a conversation with someone who's got nothing to say. 

I actually want to know about you, and it shows when you talk to me.  It doesn't matter to me whether you're homeless or the CEO of a Fortune 500 company; my goal is to simply be authentic with you and your clients, and do good business.

And because of my rather empathic sense of people, I can relate to you and your potential client's stories and needs, very quickly.  This makes me a bit of a social chameleon - I can fit in with anyone, anywhere, at anytime.
